All-In-One PC
A tool I couldn't buy
Desktop PCS are great: they're upgradeable, they have good thermal performance, and building them yourself lets you avoid all the bloatware and custom settings of a pre-built system. Given the option, I prefer desktops over laptops for these reasons. The only problem is, desktop PCs are not very portable. Even if your case has a handle, you still need to bring a monitor, which kind of defeats the purpose of it being "portable" in the first place.

So, how do you make a desktop that is truly portable? The answer is: build your own mini ITX case, with a screen behind the glass side panel! This custom case gives me all the freedom, power, and sturdiness of a tower, with unmatched portability for a custom build. It's even small enough to fit into a carryon bag.
